Fully Restored Village House with Private Courtyard
The house was restored in 2007 to a very good standard.
The house is unusual as it has a large, glass front door up a few large stairs. The owners often sit and enjoy the view from the terrace in front of the house.
Inside, the restration is very pleasing with attentions to the original features of the barn from which the house was restored.
One enters into a large sitting room with a fireplace and stone walls. The kitchen is across the private courtyard in, what was, the chestnut drying shed or "metato". Above the kitchen is a guest bedroom.
Back in the main house, there are stairs leading up to the other 2 bedrooms and the bathroom which is lit from a skylight window in the roof.
This house is at the edge of the village and overlooks fields. The internal couryard provides an intimate area in which one can enjoy "Al-Fresco" dining.
Erika's shop is about 2 km away along an easy road or a tricky mule track. There are lots of other walking paths leading to Monte Coronato and Monte Pratofiorito. This home makes an excellent base for Tuscan adventures.
